Log Email enhancements in Dovetail Agent 5.11
We’ve made some improvements to the Log Email functionality in Dovetail Agent 5.11. Here’s a quick rundown of the improvements
Contact Picker
Previously, you had to type in an email address to the TO or CC list. Which works. But we can do better.
Now, you can still type in, but we also allow you to easily search for and pick an existing contact. You can search for a contact by first name, last name, email address, site name, or any combination of these. It shows the contact’s primary address, as well as any additional email addresses that the contact may have.
And of course, you can still type in any email address that you want.

Form Improvements
We’ve improved the layout of the form by hiding some some elements until needed, which reduces the visual clutter, and gives us more space for the email body itself.
- The CC field is hidden until needed, saving some vertical space.
- By moving the Add Files button to the same row as the Send button, we save some vertical space until files are actually selected.
- Because we’ve saved vertical space elsewhere, we can now have a larger email body text box.
- If you’re using Chrome or Firefox as a browser, you can drag the email body to make it as large as you want.
- We’ve changed the style for each email address in the TO and CC list so that they mimic our tags. This makes it easy to simply click the “x” to remove a recipient.
- We’ve also enhanced it to show the full name and email address, as opposed to just the email address.
